Published the Data Use page: a plain-language summary of what data The Cloud uses, why, where it is stored, how long it is kept, how Google data is handled under Limited Use, and the controls you have.
This page is a plain-language summary of how The Cloud uses your data. Our Privacy Policy is the full, authoritative document — including the detailed breakdown of Google data — and this summary points to it.
We use your data to run the features you ask for: to operate and improve The Cloud, to let Ora and other AI features do what you request, to keep connected services in sync, to process payments, and to keep your account secure. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
The Cloud is an AI-native workspace. When you use an AI feature, the content needed for that request is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) solely to deliver the feature, under contract. Your content is not used to train Anthropic's or any other party's AI models.
When you connect a Google service, The Cloud only uses that data to provide the feature you enabled — showing and organizing your mail, calendar, files, or channel, and carrying out the actions you ask for. Our handling of Google user data, including its use and transfer, adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, let humans read it (except with your consent, for security, or to comply with the law), or use it to train generalized AI models. The full breakdown — every permission and what it does — is in the Google section of our Privacy Policy.
Your data is hosted on our backend infrastructure provider, Convex. Connection tokens are encrypted before they are stored, and all data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. See our Security page for more.
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete content at any time, and deleting your account permanently removes your personal data and the content you created — including data synced from connected accounts. Items in Trash are purged after 30 days. When you disconnect a connected service, the data synced from it is removed and its tokens are deleted.
