Spaces
A Space is a home for a body of work: Pages, Tables, Studio apps, and Task lists with one membership boundary.
Read as MarkdownWhat a Space holds
Use a Space when several artifacts belong to the same project, client, or area of life. A Space can hold Pages, Tables, Studio apps, and Task lists. Spaces can also be nested when one body of work needs smaller sections.
Private by default
A new Space starts private. Adding a member, removing a member, or changing a role goes through the consent flow. The available roles are owner, admin, and member. A person who is not a member cannot list the Space contents.
How tools address a Space
- Create it once. The create call returns a Space id. Tools use that id when they create or move artifacts into the Space.
- List the hub. The contents call returns Pages, Tables, Studio apps, and Task lists together. Pages are paginated when the Space is large.
- Keep personal Memory personal. The default Memory destination is your personal Space. See Memory for the shared-Space rule.
