Student advocacy

Voicelings · Monday task: User Completion Certificate System

Students are the distribution. They post a certificate to social for reach, they put a badge on their own website that links back to us, and the email flow keeps handing out certificates long after launch week. The member-area section is called Certificates. The public page is voicelings.com/certification. The point of all of it is advocacy.

1.What we are making, and exactly how many files

Read this before you start on anything else.

5 designs. 11 files. 2 pages. Three certificate designs each exported three ways, plus a launch graphic and a site badge. The two pages are the member-area download page and the public certification page.

FormatSizeWhat it is for
9:16 image1080 × 1920The social post. Stories and Reels. This is the main one.
9:16 video1080 × 1920Same design, animated. Reels. Silent, must read with sound off.
16:9 image1920 × 1080Email hero. Creative to confirm final dimensions.
Site badge600 × 600One only. Transparent PNG, displays at about 140px. This is what goes on a student's own website.
1:1 image1080 × 1080One only. The launch graphic, used in the group post and on social.

2.The three certificates, and the exact words on each one

These are final. Do not rewrite them.

Vertical shown. The wide 16:9 is the same design re-laid-out, not a new one. Layout and copy hierarchy only — brand colours, type and character energy come in at the design pass. Bold and playful, big type, no seals or gold. The word "certificate" goes on the page, never on the graphic.

3.The badge is what goes on a student's own website

Small on purpose. The badge exists to get pasted, not to be admired.

About

Certified
Credits row — the badge sits with their other affiliations

A voice actor will paste a small badge into a credits row without thinking about it. They will not paste a full-size certificate into their layout, and the certificate we most want linked is the one they never get round to adding. Adoption is the whole ballgame — the backlink only exists if the badge actually goes up.

So the badge is hosted on our server, and the member area gives students a snippet they paste as-is. That guarantees the link is right and lets us change the badge art later without asking anyone to re-upload.

Embed snippet on the Academy card — student copies this whole thing<a href="https://voicelings.com/certification"> <img src="https://voicelings.com/badge.png" alt="Voicelings Certified — Voice Acting Academy" width="140"> </a>

Plus a plain-language fallback for anyone who cannot paste HTML: download the badge, add it to your page, link it to voicelings.com/certification.

4.The public certification page the badge links to

One page at voicelings.com/certification. Everyone links to the same address — it explains what the certification is, it does not verify an individual.

Two things happen when someone clicks a badge. We get a backlink from a real site in our industry, and the visitor lands on a page that sells the Academy. So this page does double duty: credential explainer and indexable sell page, the same way the scholarship page works.

This one sits behind the login. Google never sees it.

No gating, no personalization, nothing dynamic. These are files sitting on a page.

6.The caption printed under each certificate for students to copy

Written and final. There is nothing for the student to fill in — they hit copy, paste, post.

7.How students find out this exists — all Natalie

Two parts. The launch, and the flow that keeps working after launch week.

On launch day: a post in the community group using the 1:1 launch graphic, and an email blast to the whole list using the 16:9 hero.

Then the flow takes over. This is the part that matters. Launch week gets a spike; the flow is what keeps certificates going out to every new student for the next year without anyone doing anything.

The 90-day email is a re-engagement email wearing a certificate as a costume. It reaches students who stalled and gives them a reason to go finish — which is worth more than the certificate itself.

Group post — ready to post as-isCertificates are here. Someone asked in here a while back whether finishing the modules gets you anything. Now it does. Go to Certificates in the member area. There's one for joining, one for 1:1 Training with Tara, and one for the Voice Acting Academy. Download it, post it, tag us — we're reposting all week. Finished the Academy? There's also a badge you can put on your own website.

9.The timeline, working backward from 15 September

Jake and Jaro run at the same time. Jaro does not wait for designs — he builds with placeholder images and swaps the real files in later.
